Hello all!
I introduce myself, my name is Gerard and I am from a small town near Tarragona (Spain).
The reason I decided to register on this forum and open a new discussion is to ask you and ask for advice about the Dyane 6.
I put you in situation: My father bought a Dyane 6 in 1979. It was all correct until 2000 when he decided to leave it in the garage because he did not need to use it.
In short, 21 years have passed and the car has not been touched at all. Here comes the discussion that I want to share with you.
I'd like to get it going again. I will not rush. Do you think it is viable? Any recommendation / advice? What is the first thing to check? I already know that it is very difficult for them to guide me without knowing the real state. But for now I am attaching a few photos of the current state.
I await your comments! Thanks!!!!
Best regards,
Gerard

First of all, I want to thank you for your messages and wish you a happy new year 2022!
Yesterday I got to work with the Dyane 6. And do the following:
1) inflate the wheels.
2) Battery connection.
3) I put 5 liters of fuel in the tank.
From this point is where the problem appeared. Starting the vehicle, the value of the fuel level indicates 0. We make several starts, but the car does not start.
From this point I proceed to remove the air filter to access the fuel pump, located just below.
I open the pump and check its operation. It seems to be working correctly.
I proceed to disconnect the fuel tube and it never reaches this point. The same pump, does not get to enter gasoline.
The suspicions about this problem point me to the section between the tank and the pump, apparently it may be obstructed.
To try to find out more about whether the engine is correct, I introduced the gasoline directly and the engine started.
Therefore, at the moment the problem is in the section between the tank and the fuel pump.
Do you know any solution for this problem? Am I really doing something wrong?
I attach some pictures of the current state!
Mersi!
Salut!

Totally agree with Arnaud !
22 years, you need also to remove the petrol tank, clean it or replace it by a new one in plastic material (best solution from my point of view)

Hello! After some time of inactivity I started reviewing the Dyane 6 again.
Before I want to thank you for your answers!
Yes, @arnaudhontoir You're right, and the first thing I'm going to do is clean out the fuel tank.
I think I was able to detect the problem that was obstructing the flow of fuel, so the first thing I did was check the tubes.
The tube that connects the tank with the fuel pump is correct, the problem was in a part that is inside the fuel tank.
I was able to unclog the tube and it no longer has the problem.
But I have a question about the fuel gauge. I think it's not working properly. The movement does, but I'm not sure that electrically it can correctly transmit the signal to the fuel gauge.
Is there an electrical test for this device? Perhaps there is some verification by measuring the electrical resistance in the cable?
I attach some images of said component.
Thank you for your answers!
Greetings from Catalonia!
